Boulevard connects two important roads in the city - Five Corners and Central Station in Sofia.
Hristo Botev (1848-1876) is a Bulgarian national hero, a genial poet and revolutionist. For his 28 year-life he became a symbol of the Bulgarian national struggle for independence. He was killed as a leader of a detachment in the April Uprising on Okolchitsa peak. "The moon comes out and day grows dim, on heaven’s vault the stars now throng....“ On both sides of the boulevard are the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, II-nd Hospital.
