The performance “The Nutcracker” is based on the famous fairy tale by E.T.A. Hoffmann and the magical music of P.I. Tchaikovsky. The choreographer of the production is Boryana Sechanova, long-time artistic director of Ballet Arabesque, who—together with set designer Boris Stoynov, costume designer Tsvetanka Petkova-Stoynova, and the dancers of Ballet Arabesque—creates a festive, fairytale-like and phantasmagorical spectacle for audiences of all ages.
Such a performance is a wonderful gift for every child. For adults, it is a beautiful opportunity to share in their children’s joy, to grow together with them, and to better understand their unique world.
The production is full of magic and features all the beloved characters from Hoffmann’s story: the mice, the toys that come to life, and the Nutcracker Prince himself.
In the role of Marie we will see Benedetta Grassi, the Prince will be danced by Valeri Milenkov / Svetlozar Tinev, and Marie’s brother Fritz – Svetoslav Seropyan.
The magician Drosselmeyer will be portrayed by Assen Nakov / Anton Mladenov, and in a surprising role — that of Princess Little Mouse — Petya Koleva-Vuchov
