SMPIA is now part of the Digital Transformation of Sofia

The Sofia Municipal Privatization & Investment Agency Team won a place in the European Commission's Digital Cities Challenge. Sofia will be one of the 15 cities which will be helped in the digital transformation of the urban environment and society. The capital will be included in the special programme of coaching and facilitation and will receive support in the development and implementation of certain projects.

The Digital Cities Challenge aims at helping 15 European cities implement the use of modern technology. In this way, they will stimulate their development, create more job positions and become more appealing places to live. The project includes cities in Europe that have stable progress in the digitalization process and which are highly motivated to enjoy the benefits of digital transformation.

As part of the programme, Sofia will receive free support, coaching and assistance in the implementation of projects that promote further innovation and productivity as well as improve the quality of life in the city.
