Saloon of the Museums at the National Palace of Culture

From March 3 to March 5, a special selection comprised of the collections of museums and galleries in Sofia and around the country was on display at the Saloon of the Museums at the National Palace of Culture. Around 40 museums and a few galleries from all over Bulgaria were presented. The main purpose of the event was to present replicas of masterpieces, as well as some of the activities of the Bulgarian museum institutions, which have a key role in the popularization of Bulgaria’s cultural and historical heritage. Archaeological, ethnographic and history museums as well as house-museums in Sofia, Plovdiv, Ruse, Asenovgrad, Velingrad, Svilengrad, etc. took part in the event. The National Art Gallery, Boris Georgiev City Art Gallery in Varna, as well as Ruse Art Gallery also presented some of their works.

The event is part of the cultural program of the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the EU.
