It is on display at the gallery space of the Triangular Tower of Serdica
On the eve of the National Holiday of the Republic of Bulgaria Sofia History Museum presented The Light of the Liberation Exhibition dedicated to the 140th anniversary of the Liberation of Bulgaria. The visitors can see an exposition describing the struggle of the Bulgarian people for an independent state and it focuses on the events that took place in Sofia. Separate stages of the struggle are presented through the movements for an independent Bulgarian church and Bulgarian secular education. The actions of Sofia Revolutionary Committee and the life of Vasil Levski in Sofia, as well as the feat of Sofia’s booksellers are also described. Original documents, old books, art works, textbooks from National Revival Libraries and personal belongings are on display. In addition, there are also archive photos and multimedia movies.
The exhibition will be on display at the gallery space of the Triangular tower of Serdica (16 Knyagina Maria Luiza Blvd.) from February 27 to April 15, 2018. Partner of the event is Ivan Denkoglu – 1867 Community Center in Sofia.
