By the end of 2019, Vazrazhdane Park will be bigger and will be boasting with a public aquapark
By the end of 2019, Vazrazhdane Park in Sofia will have another 25 decares of park area, 19 decares of which will be part of the park, while a public aquapark, an indoor pool with mineral water and a spa area will be constructed on the other 6 decares. Sofia Municipality has invested about BGN 9.5 million into this project. For the first time, Sofia will offer a public aquapark, where there will be five different outdoor pools – a main one, for children, for toddlers, for leisure activities and a hydromassage pool, as well as a building with an indoor pool with mineral water and a spa area. There will also be a drinking fountain where people will be able to fill water containers with mineral water. The complex will offer leisure and sports activities for the whole family. About 600 new trees and shrubs will be planted in the park area around the pools.
In addition to these investments, the restoration of Bankya Mineral Baths and the modernization of the Baths in Ovcha Kupel quarter will soon be initiated.
This year, Sofia Municipality is renovating 6 parks - parts of Yuzhen Park, Knyaz Borisova Gradina Park, Zapaden Park, the garden in Kuluitsite Street, Cherkovna Street, and the restoration of the park in Druzhba quarter will soon be launched.
In the summer of 2019, more than 120 playgrounds will be built in all quarters of Sofia. The Bulgarian capital is building a future for its children.
