SoFest Awoke Sofia’s Colorful Balkan Soul

In June, the second edition of SoFest made a real Balkan explosion in the heart of Sofia. Jazz, rock and selected brass pieces entertained the crowd at the festival. At Cabana Cinema and Bar, NPC, the jazz quintet of the famous Bulgarian kaval player Theodosii Spassov, the quartet of Thanos Stavridis from Greece, who unite jazz and ethno music through the accordion, as well as the jazz formation - Toni Kitanovski Trio from Northern Macedonia, performed at the festival. The audience was also fascinated by the jazz temptations of Hilda Kazasyan in quintet with the musicians Zhivko Petrov, Mihail Yosifov, Hristo Yotsov and Dimitar Karamfilov. The group Akaga made the guests dance along to their lively music and added to the colorful Balkan mood of the festival.
