Vitosha Nature Park Visits Sofia’s Tourist Information Centers

On the occasion of its 85th anniversary, the oldest nature park on the Balkans - Vitosha Nature Park, held an exhibition in Largo Tourist Information Center and Sofia Tourist Information Center from October 14 to October 25, 2019. From the exposition the guests learned more about the flora and fauna of the mountain, its endemics and protected species, and why they should choose the mountain of Sofia as a place for tourism and sports, outdoor lessons on history, natural sciences, etc. The tourists were mostly interested in the biggest mammal in Europe - the brown bear, whose population in Vitosha is growing and shows that Bulgaria’s wildlife is preserved in this nature park. The mountain of Sofia is accessible all year round - during the long spring, summer and autumn seasons every Saturday and Sunday Simeonovo lift or bus N66 from Vitosha metro stop can take you there. During the ski season, the lift is at your disposal every day and you can enjoy the white sports - skiing, snowkiting, and even sledding...
