Christmas market called Sofia Christmas Town will be open until 23 December from 11:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. with free entrance
Sofia Christmas Town starts this Thursday, December 9, 2021, at 11:30 a.m. in front of the National Palace of Culture (NDK) in the alley next to the Cabana cinema. The Christmas town will be open for citizens and visitors of the capital every day from 11:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. with free entrance. The organizer is Vazrajdane Markets Ltd with the partnership of Sofia Municipality. All lovers of good food, quality drinks, amusing gifts, baked goods and beautiful music will have the opportunity to enjoy these delights. Sofia Municipality has taken care of the cultural program and every evening there will be stage performances and live music in the Cabana cinema, and on the weekends – theatrical plays for children.
More than fifteen exhibitors in specially made huts and tents will be located in the alley in front of the Cabana cinema and will be expecting visitors. There will be mulled wine and Bulgarian liquor - rakia, selected Bulgarian wines, aromatic coffee and hot drinks, freshly baked banitsa – Bulgarian pastry, unique barbequed meats with special sauces. You will have the opportunity to taste the tempting pumpkin with honey, vegan burgers or the unique pizzas made from hand-kneaded sour dough. There will be special cocktails for the lovers of strong spirits, and a beer selection will await the connoisseurs of the hoppy beverage.
In addition to the cultural program with famous performers and favorite theatrical plays for children, there will be magic tricks and many other surprises. Special guests of Sofia Christmas Town will be the Bear Stories society with fascinating stories about the life of bears and why we shouldn’t fear them.
