Participation of NAIM-BAS at the European night of Museums –Sofia 2022

The National Archaeological Institute with Museum at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences takes participation within the intiative “European Night of Museums – Sofia 2022”, organised by the French Institute in Bulgaria in partnership with the Bulgarian Ministry of Culture and Sofia Municipality.

In his quest for better socialization and popularizing of the cultural-historical heritage, in the evening of 14 May (Saturday) 2022, the National Archaeological Museum announces free entrance. The doors of the Museum will be open from 6 PM till midnight (the last visitors will be admitted 30 minutes earlier). Besides the permanent exhibition, the fans of the Archaeology will have the opportunity to see three temporary exhibitions: the exhibition “Bulgarian Archaeology 2021”, representing the most interesting finds made during the last archaeological season, the exhibition “Time, Matter, Spirit. The Conservation at NAIM-BAS”, dedicated to the 100 anniversary of the establishment of the Bulgarian Archaeological Institute, and the exhibition “The Panoply of the Thracian warriors”: a valuable display of the results of long and complex research on the warfare of Ancient Thrace and the Classical world. The Museum narrative will be presented by employees, students and mediators of NAIM-BAS.
