On July 26, Sofia Municipality and IAB (Interactive Advertising Bureau Bulgaria) signed a memorandum of cooperation.
The Metropolitan Municipality is a member of the international Coalition of Cities for Digital Rights (CC4DR), with a focus on the promotion and protection of digital rights in the context of cities and how cities deal with contemporary digital challenges.
One of the goals is for the IAB global network to support the creation and implementation of a disinformation protection tool in collaboration with the Metropolitan Municipality and European institutions.
At the end of April, Sofia won a place among 100 municipalities participating in the European mission for carbon-neutral cities by 2030. This gives the opportunity in the next 8 years for Sofia Municipality to have access to funding for innovation research, as well as an advantage in the competition in all European funds related to the Green Deal. The award also helps improve our investment environment.
The IAB is the largest global association of media, media and digital agencies, major advertisers and technology companies in the world responsible for the development of the digital environment. It is located in 46 countries on 6 continents, working to develop and implement digital tools, mechanisms and standards of the online environment and the fight against disinformation. The IAB is also committed to providing qualitative and quantitative research on the digital environment and consumer habits of the residents of Sofia. This independent data will serve both as an indicative point, and to help make management decisions based on specific data.
