In search of dance steps and folklore stories from the shops' past
The interactive exhibition The Dances from Shopluk takes you into the depths of the folklore of Shops through impressive audio-visual elements that embody the dances, character and specific habits of the Shops. At a series of open lessons during the exhibition period, everyone will be able to teach loved ones from the region.
The exhibition can be seen from November 1 to 10, 2022 in the Largo area of the Ancient Cultural and Communication Complex Serdica. The opening of the exhibition is on November 1 at 6:00 p.m.
In the interactive exhibition, several sectors are distinguished, each of which presents particles from Shopluka in a different form.
In Hall 1, there will be a projection on how footprints are taken from footsteps dances and how the process of their digitization takes place.
In Hall 2 there will be posters with graphic figures of footsteps of 20 Shop dances. Among the selection there are both well-known and beloved by all our people, as well as disappearing ones, preserved only among the elderly grandmothers of Shopluka.
In the open space in front of the halls, you can see an exhibition with photos that lead to episodes of the podcast Thinking - the latest project of Taratantci. The podcast introduces short, interesting stories from the depths of folklore that deserve to be preserved and heard by a wide audience.
A whole week awaits you with a number of interesting stage performances, as well as opportunities to learn Shopian folk music from the source for free.
