Sofia Zoo is now open for winter hours

Sofia Zoo has switched to winter opening hours from today, the zoo said. The cash desks at both entrances will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The stay of visitors is allowed until 17:00, they inform from there. Halls "Big cats, terrarium and aquarium", "Giants", "Monkeys 3 and 2" will close at 17:00. Hall "Monkeys 1" remains temporarily closed for technical reasons, the zoo also states. In September for for the first time in 30 years, a zebra was born in the capital zoo, which the keepers named Mickey.Besides the little zebra, visitors can also enjoy Nix the snow leopard, Shelly the Siberian tigress, Toundyo the polar owl and many other animals.
