After the successful over 30 film screenings in the capital's parks in the past year, Kinematograf and the Sofia Municipality are again collecting interesting titles from Bulgarian and world cinema. Foreign language films are subtitled in Bulgarian, English subtitles are provided for all Bulgarian films, which allows foreigners to fully enjoy the screenings. Some of the titles are also winners of numerous world awards.
On July 19 and 21, the outdoor cinema is in Sveta Troitsa Park. The program includes the animated film War directed by Dimitar Dimitrov. Two more Bulgarian films will be shown: Better Nature by Ralitsa Petrova and Hunger by Petar Krumov. On July 22, 23 and 30, the film screenings will be in Studentski Park. The program begins with the children's animated film Grandma by director Dimitar Dimitrov, and will continue with 3 more Bulgarian films: A Book for People by Vladislav Lakov, Conversations with my Stranger by Laura Markova and Under One Roof by Simeon Tsonchev.
Admission to all film screenings is free. Open-air shows are one of the most popular city projects and part of the summer cultural program of the Sofia Municipality.
