The construction of one of the largest spa complexes in Europe begins, which will be located 30 minutes from the center of Sofia in the village of Ravno Pole, municipality of Elin Pelin. After the implementation of the project, it will be in the top 5 in Europe in terms of scale, Investor.bg reported. The closest similar facility is currently located in Bucharest.
The expected term for the implementation of the project is 3 years, and the first stage is the construction of a complex water lowering system for the drainage of groundwater. The investors are a Bulgarian company with many years of experience in the field of tourist services and real estate investments. The project is positioned on an area of 80 decares in the immediate vicinity of the golf club in the village of Ravno Pole.
Sofia Wellness Palace will be fed with mineral water with a temperature of 57.5 degrees and will have 18 mineral pools with a total area of over 4000 m2, 20 water slides with a total length of 1.2 km, among which will be the highest in Bulgaria. It is planned to use more than 500 natural palm trees brought from various exotic destinations for the interior landscaping.
The resort will also include a 5-star hotel with a balneological center with 30 therapy rooms for various healing procedures with mineral water, salt, mud, electrotherapies and other numerous procedures. The complex will have 1,000 parking spaces, numerous dining and entertainment establishments, as well as a casino.
The project is expected to become the flagship of the spa and balneo industry in Bulgaria and an emblem of Bulgarian tourism.
