Words, Images, Places - 140 years since the proclamation of Sofia as Capital of Bulgaria
The exposition includes works presenting the city from the end of the 19th century to present day. In addition to the paintings, there will also be postcards, photos and texts where you can read the impressions of Bulgarian and foreign travelers, diplomats and intellectuals regarding the changes and development of the city over the years - architectural, social, political events and people's participation in them.

Baroque Arts Festival – 13th Edition

The festival is part of the Cultural Events Calendar of Sofia Municipality. It has established itself as the only festival in Bulgaria about ancient music. It presents the European musical art through historically informed performance and instruments relevant to the era in which the works were created, and thus places Sofia among the hosts of such festivals - Barcelona, London, Berlin, Istanbul, Bucharest and others.

At its 9th edition, Piano Extravaganza Festival will present eight piano recitals, one chamber music concerts, one jazz concert, one music evening and “Open doors day” for adults and children. The extraordinary artists and the variety of the repertoire of the 12 events will satisfy even the most sophisticated connoisseurs.
The event has become a music festival with a distinct theme, which makes it unique in its character and program content.
The program of the event includes, along with the well-known masterpieces of classical music, works of similarly high quality, but rarely performed or by authors left undeservedly in the shadow of the most brilliant composers.

Sofia Independent Film Festival – 9th Edition

Sofia Independent Film Festival is the only festival dedicated to independent films in Southeast Europe. Initially presenting a panorama of independent American cinema, today the festival offers a great selection of European, Bulgarian, American and world cinema. Supports mainly the young and independent Bulgarian cinema. In 2019, the European dimension of the festival will be even stronger, and our efforts will be to present the Bulgarian film industry in its European context as one of the most rapidly and successfully developing ones at the moment. The focus of our efforts will be to give Sofia, as a creative city of cinema, a European festival of independent cinema and culture.

IV Juniors and Cadets Fencing Tournament – for the European Cup
The tournament was held for the first time in 2016 on the initiative of Sofia - European Capital of Sport.
In 2019 will be held the 4th edition of the tournament which attracts more and more participants. It includes both individual and team competitions and participants of several countries will take part in it.

Yuzhen Park
Organized free 5 km run. Everyone can join regardless of gender and age (including disabled people, parents with strollers, as well as people with dogs on a leash).
*The main 5km running track is located in Sofia, Yuzhen park. The start and finish lines are located on the main alley in front of the monument with birds.
