Words, Images, Places - 140 years since the proclamation of Sofia as Capital of Bulgaria

The exposition includes works presenting the city from the end of the 19th century to present day. In addition to the paintings, there will also be postcards, photos and texts where you can read the impressions of Bulgarian and foreign travelers, diplomats and intellectuals regarding the changes and development of the city over the years - architectural, social, political events and people's participation in them.

Baroque Arts Festival – 13th Edition

The festival is part of the Cultural Events Calendar of Sofia Municipality. It has established itself as the only festival in Bulgaria about ancient music. It presents the European musical art through historically informed performance and instruments relevant to the era in which the works were created, and thus places Sofia among the hosts of such festivals - Barcelona, London, Berlin, Istanbul, Bucharest and others.

Piano Extravaganza Festival

At its 9th edition, Piano Extravaganza Festival will present eight piano recitals, one chamber music concerts, one jazz concert, one music evening and “Open doors day” for adults and children. The extraordinary artists and the variety of the repertoire of the 12 events will satisfy even the most sophisticated connoisseurs.
The event has become a music festival with a distinct theme, which makes it unique in its character and program content.
The program of the event includes, along with the well-known masterpieces of classical music, works of similarly high quality, but rarely performed or by authors left undeservedly in the shadow of the most brilliant composers.

CineLibri 2019

Cinelibri is an international film festival dedicated to film adaptations based on literary works. There is a selection of competing films, parallel program of films and international jury of renowned artists. A unique multi-genre forum, facilitating the expansion of intercultural relations, promoting the achievements of European culture in Bulgaria and of Bulgarian culture around the world, strengthening the image of the Bulgarian capital as a significant cultural location in Europe. Each year, the festival presents the best film adaptations. In addition to the competing films, the festival has several additional sections, including: Bulgarian feature and short films; contemporary European and world productions; biopics about famous authors; a selection of documentaries about prominent artists; gala evenings dedicated to different cultures; an accompanying program of special events and meetings with autographs, educational and discussion events, a cycle of movies that can be watched for free and more.

Sofia Motor Show 2019

The largest automobile event in Bulgaria is organized by the Association of Car Manufacturers and their representatives in Bulgaria and will be held from October 11 to October 20 at Inter Expo Center in Sofia.
Sofia Motor Show 2019 is part of the calendar of the most prestigious automobile exhibitions organized by the members of Organisation Internationale des Constructeurs d'Automobiles (OICA).

Baroque Arts Festival –Chalumeau - Lost Love

Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski - Ceremonial Hall


The Dutch virtuoso Erik Bosgraaf will perform not only on recorder, but also on chalumeau. In addition to rare and intriguing works, Bosgraaf will also play Vivaldi's and Bach's masterpieces. United in Ensemble Cordevento, he will perform together with Wei Hung (recorder) from Taiwan, the Bulgarian bassoon player – expert in historically informed performance Sabina Yordanova, and other performers from Italy, Russia and Germany.
