Words, Images, Places - 140 years since the proclamation of Sofia as Capital of Bulgaria

The exposition includes works presenting the city from the end of the 19th century to present day. In addition to the paintings, there will also be postcards, photos and texts where you can read the impressions of Bulgarian and foreign travelers, diplomats and intellectuals regarding the changes and development of the city over the years - architectural, social, political events and people's participation in them.

Baroque Arts Festival – 13th Edition

The festival is part of the Cultural Events Calendar of Sofia Municipality. It has established itself as the only festival in Bulgaria about ancient music. It presents the European musical art through historically informed performance and instruments relevant to the era in which the works were created, and thus places Sofia among the hosts of such festivals - Barcelona, London, Berlin, Istanbul, Bucharest and others.

Piano Extravaganza Festival

At its 9th edition, Piano Extravaganza Festival will present eight piano recitals, one chamber music concerts, one jazz concert, one music evening and “Open doors day” for adults and children. The extraordinary artists and the variety of the repertoire of the 12 events will satisfy even the most sophisticated connoisseurs.
The event has become a music festival with a distinct theme, which makes it unique in its character and program content.
The program of the event includes, along with the well-known masterpieces of classical music, works of similarly high quality, but rarely performed or by authors left undeservedly in the shadow of the most brilliant composers.

Computer Space - International Computer Arts Forum

The Red House, Central Military Club, National Student House, 2 Community Centers in the suburbs of the city
Computer Space 2019 – 31st edition of the international forum dedicated to computer arts and contemporary media. This is a non-profit international computer arts festival with prestigious international participation and coverage in all major media in Sofia and the country. One of the first festivals of its kind in Sofia and Europe, with 30 editions so far. The forum is divided in two parts – competition and festival. The festival part of the 31st edition of the forum will be held on October 24-26, 2019. The competition part starts in March.
Over 10,000 international participants and projects (companies, studios and individual participants) have taken part in the Forum over the years. With its numerous projects and visitors from around the world, Computer Space is the most significant event for computer arts in Southeast Europe.

Concert-Recital of Catherine Trottmann in Sofia

The young star of the French opera - Catherine Trottmann, will visit Bulgaria for the first time. She will perform selected works from the world of opera and classical music. The concert-recital will take place with the special participation of Orlin Goranov and the pianist Karolos Zuganelis.
The concert-recital is organized by ELEVATE Foundation under the patronage of the Embassy of the Republic of France in Bulgaria and the French Institute in Bulgaria within the framework of Plovdiv - European Capital of Culture 2019.

He will hold a concert as part of his new Classics tour, where he will perform his best songs. George Dalaras won the title of most enigmatic Greek performer because of his peculiar and powerful voice. He is considered to have revived the style of rebetiko and made it very popular not only in Greece, but all over the world.
