Saint Clement of Ohrid

On November 25, the Orthodox Church honors the memory of two beloved Christian figures - Saint Clement of Ohrid and Saint Clement of Rome. Saint Clement of Ohrid – the founder of the Ohrid Literary School, was a disciple of Saints Cyril and Methodius, a Bulgarian scholar and the first Bulgarian bishop who preached in the Old Bulgarian language. He is one of the Seven Apostles of Bulgaria and a patron saint of the biggest university in Bulgaria – Sofia University.
