Vitosha Welcomes You with its Snowy Ski Slopes

Apart from the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the EU, in 2018 Sofia will also be European Capital of Sport. On January 13, 2018 Vitosha Winterfest will mark the beginning of a series of 92 sports events that will take place throughout the year. They are part of the initiative Sofia - European Capital of Sport 2018. On February 4, a family winter holiday will take place in Vitosha. All lovers of winter sports can reach Vitosha as it is located 8 km from the city center. From 23.12.2017 the Simeonovo-Aleko Cabin lift operates every day. The Dragalevtsi-Goli Vrah Chairlift operates on Saturdays and Sundays as well as on holidays. Both of them connect Sofia and the ski slopes around Aleko Hut.
