Christmas Markets

1. Deutscher Weihnachtsmarkt in the City Garden (until December 22): A traditional German Christmas market offering delicious food and aromatic drinks, gifts and souvenirs, a photo corner, Santa's mailbox, a bookstore, and a diverse cultural program.

2. Sofia Christmas Fest near the National Palace of Culture (until December 28): A market featuring culinary experiences, a variety of cultural events, a Ferris wheel, and a carousel. You can even take a photo with Santa Claus!

3. Christmas Market at the National Palace of Culture (December 7–15): A market where you can find gifts for your loved ones or treat yourself to jewelry, clothes, cosmetics, food, drinks, and Christmas decorations.

4. Christmas Market near the Rila Hotel Garden (until January 7): A cozy spot for warm drinks and leisurely strolls amidst a festive atmosphere.

3. Mish Mash Fest – Christmas Edition at the Largo (December 15–17): Unique gifts crafted with soul, skill, and attention by talented artisans.

1. The Largest Santa's Mailbox at the Central Halls (until December 23): The largest mailbox to collect the biggest Christmas wishes.

2. Christmas Educational Workshops at the National Ethnographic Museum (December 10–19): Children's workshops for ceremonial bread and traditional New Year’s decorations.

3. Quest Spy Game “Save Christmas” at the National Museum of Military History (every weekend at 11 a.m.): A children's game with quests to learn some fascinating facts about how Christmas came to Bulgaria.

4. Garage Sale Sofia Christmas Fest at Club DOM (December 15): A market for both everyday and festive outfits and unique gifts from local brands and artisans.

5. Christmas Ride with Sofia Riders (December 21): Dozens of Santas on motorcycles will delight Sofia residents and visitors with their impressive presence on the city's streets and boulevards. The ride begins at Boyana Residence, follows a pre-planned route, and ends at the vibrant pedestrian zone on Vitosha Boulevard, featuring a show program with gift-giving and tree decorating.

6. Grand Finale of the Coca-Cola Christmas Truck Tour at St. Alexander Nevsky Square (December 21–22): A special mailbox will collect messages of kindness from Sofia residents to be sent across the country and the world.

Outdoor Ice Rinks

For all winter sports enthusiasts, Sofia offers several outdoor ice rinks this year:

1. Ice Park Sofia at Knyazheska Garden: Open daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

2. Ice Rink at Yunak Stadium: Open daily from 10 a.m. to 11:20 p.m.

3. Ice Rink in Zone B-5: Open daily from 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.
