Sofia Municipality Donated 200 Books to Various Libraries and Schools

On December 21, 2017 in Sofia History Museum Assoc. Prof. Dr. Todor Chobanov - Deputy Mayor of Sofia, donated books to the libraries of schools in Sofia, as well as to Sofia City Library and its branches, the library of Iskar House of Culture and to the Children's Creative Lab (part of Sofia History Museum). The donation included 200 popular titles from children's and adolescent literature, works of Bulgarian and foreign authors, encyclopedias, folk tales and others.

The aim of Sofia is to develop a city based on knowledge. In Bulgaria the books are seen as a window towards the world as they give you knowledge and develop the mind. Thus, this donation is an investment in children's development, a sign of love and care towards them as well as a way to encourage students to read more.
