Sofia was Nominated for the Emerging Europe Awards in the City FDI Promotion Strategy of the Year Category

Sofia is one of the 10 cities nominated for an award in the City FDI Promotion Strategy of the Year Category by the London-based think tank  company Emerging Europe. The awards are given for the policies and initiatives of cities in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) – the so-called Emerging Europe region. In recent years, this region with population of 180 million people has developed much more rapidly than Western Europe and is a stable engine for the economy of the whole continent.

The Emerging Europe Awards aim to stimulate the ongoing economic growth in the region and attract the attention of investors from all over Europe and the rest of the world.

Emerging Europe Awards presents awards in 11 different categories, including Tourism Campaign of the Year, Young Empowerment Initiative of the Year, Equality-Friendly Initiative of the Year, Research & Development Programme of the Year, Social Impact Start-Up of the Year, FDI Project of the Year, Lifetime Achievement and others.
