Sofia’s Investments in 2019

Sofia has been carrying out the most extensive modernization of underground and ground public transport for the past decades. In 2019 the underground in Sofia will consist of 48-km metro network. Only 10 years ago, the metro line was 10 km long. In 2019 90% of the buses of the Bulgarian capital will be new and of high ecological standard. The renovation of the big parks in Sofia and the construction of new ones has been one of the city’s objectives for the past 10 years. The construction of the first public Aqua Park in Vazrazhdane Park will take place soon. Another important task is the overall reconstruction of some streets and boulevards. In total, BGN 447.9 million will be invested in transport and transport infrastructure. More than BGN 5 million will be invested in the conservation and restoration of the Central Mineral Baths in the town of Bankya and in the restoration of the Baths in Ovcha Kupel quarter. The construction of Toplotsentralata Center for Contemporary Arts will soon be initiated.
