On September 17, the Day of Sofia and the 140th anniversary of the proclamation of the city as the capital of Bulgaria were solemnly celebrated with many concerts, exhibitions and an audio-visual show at Knyaz Alexander I Battenberg Square with 3D mapping. Sofia’s residents were pleasantly surprised by another long-awaited event - Sofia History Museum opened a new branch - the archeological exposition Ancient Serdica, located in Serdica Ancient Cultural and Communication Complex under Maria Louisa Blvd. There people will be able to feel the life of Antiquity, learn that during that period the exposed living quarters had their own heating system and hygienic rooms and further see the floor mosaics and the well-preserved mosaic "Felix". Part of this exposition was Serdika ACCC’s Information and education center with a creative workshop for children and students, where they could immerse themselves in Antiquity by working with clay and making mosaics and coins. The Children’s Information and Education Center at the Branch was furnished with a donation made by Sylvie Vartan and with the assistance of the association Mos Maiorum Ulpiae Serdicae. The Branch of Sofia History Museum is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 10am to 6pm with the last hour of entry 5:30 pm. The tickets for adults are 6 BGN, and for pensioners, pupils and students - 2 BGN. Do not miss the chance to immerse yourself in the ancient history of Sofia!
