Japan will learn about the trams and sights of Sofia

For seven days - from October 10 to October 17, 2019, a team of the Japanese National Television (NHK) shot a footage for the upcoming movie "Traveling by Tram in Europe - Sofia". After films about Vienna, Prague and Budapest, the Japanese viewers will also learn about the Bulgarian capital through the prism of the tram transport development. By the end of the year, in a 50-minute movie, the director Makoto Kita and the cameraman Kenichi Watanabe will present not only the tram transportation in our country, which is no longer common in many major European capitals, but also our lively city, the biggest attractions of Sofia and the sights along the routes of some trams. The film will present St Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, St. Nedelya Church, the Boyana Church - a UNESCO monument, St. George Rotunda, Serdica Ancient Cultural and Communication Complex, the mineral springs in the central part of the city, the Central Synagogue of Sofia, Banya Bashi Mosque, Sofia Zoo, Ivan Vazov Market and the famous Bulgarian banitsa.
