With the support of the state, Sofia Municipality now owns the house of the ingenious Bulgarian poet and revolutionary Peyo Yavorov, which has been acquired at a value of 1.5 million BGN. The property will be turned into a museum, but before that a project for its restoration and repair will be designed so that this landmark can be saved. The house will continue to be managed by the National Literary Museum, which in partnership with the Municipality will continue to make the exposition public, organize exhibitions, poetry readings and more. With the renovation of Malko Turnovo Street in the city center, followed by that of Yavorov’s House, Sofia continues its policy of preserving the landmark historic buildings and sites in the city - soon Rayna Knyaginya House-Museum will also be opened.
